cubase sx keeps crashing

I am running cubase sx on my pc, windows 98, my friend has a simmilar spec pc and has had no problems. on my pc it comes up with "Error unknown exception" every time i try too add a midi track and also it crashs when closing down. ?? whats it all about

did you know SX wasent designed for Win98? So if you do not have a recent version (at least 1.0.5.6.1) you have a lot of chance it wont work on 98.
