Cubase SX and MOTU 2408

Anyone using this setup to record with? When I want to record a track, the MOTU is not an option for input..

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong..

I'm using SX with a 1224 (uses the same PCI-324 card)...no problems here at all.
 
What do you mean, not available for input?

Did you install all the drivers for the 324?

When you go to the Devices-->VST inputs menu, do you see the motu?

If you do, have you enabled the inputs?

Have you configured the 324?

Sorry, it's kind of hard to diagnose a problem over the internet.

I do see the MOTU in the VST Input section...maybe I just don't know how to enable the input on each track. I'm used to Audition and it's very straight forward....

In Cubase, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to assign an instrument to a particular channel.

There is a little button that should light up....if you scroll down, you should see all the inputs. Turn them all on. Then, in the mixer window there is a strip justt above the slide faders, that probably say input 1, input 2, or no input. If you click on them, you should be able to choose from any of your active inputs. You can assign any input to any channel.
