Your Firepod will handle all of those easily - since you're using line outs for the instruments - I would recommend not using channels 1 or 2 for them...the line input on 3-8 will bypass the applicable preamp. For those channels (guitar/bass) make sure the trim button is all the way clockwise (off), as you'll want all the volume of the line signal to get into the Firepod/computer.
For the stereo inputs - make sure to use the same stereo bus (1/2; 3/4; 5/6; or 7/8)...it will definitely help if you intend to use the outputs to go to a mixing board for live performance and/or monitoring.
