Cubase Bugs

Is it just me, or is Cubase insanely buggy?

Like, one time I'll load up a song, and it won't play. I'll hit the play button and the numbers won't move. Or the numbers will move and the song won't be heard until I go out to my outside audio settings and come back in?

I'm finding numerous problems. Is it just my copy?

Hey Rick,

I've got Cubase 5.1 running on a highly optimized WinXP Home installation- PIIIm 800mHz 512 M Ram.

Works fine. It crashes every once in a great while, but usually when I am using some cheapo plug-in.

It shouldn't be cubse itself if have a relatively recent and legal version. Do you have the latest drivers for your sound card? Are you using windows MME drivers or the drivers dedicated to your card?

Anyway, Cubase works, but digital audio stuff can be tricky to set up reliably. There are a lot of variables between software and hardware settings.
