Cubase 5 on mac mini

Currently, I am running cubase 5 on a p4 3.4 ghz with 3 gigs of ram, and performance is pretty poor. Now, I'm looking at a mac mini for my next recording computer. Will it be fast enough? (2.26 ghz, 2 gigs of ram)


Any input would be appreciated!
 
You say that performance is poor. How so? Are we talking latency, slow screen redraw, other issues? Are you working with lots of VSTi and many tracks or just a few tracks of audio? There are lots of things that can max out a DAW. Your computer specs look fine unless you're running *lots* of CPU intensive effects. Have you defragged your hard drive and made sure that it's not overly full? What's your audio interface and what is the buffer set to? What OS are you running?
