I need hands on controll and another set off keys as well as some good dance sounds that are hard to produce on my jv1080. I like the Yamaha sounds but am wondering weather the sound chip is any different to the CS1X or even the older modules like TG300 - MU100. Also does the CS6X have a better sound engine than the above?
the CS6X is extreemly better than the CS1X and the CS2X. there's even sampling options on the CS6X.
in my studio, i have the CS1X and the CS6X. There's differences between the 2 keyboards, but the CS1X is still an extreemly great keyboard. it's got some great sounds. yesterday i used it on a track. i loaded up a fender rhodes sound, and played with the cutoff and resonance controls, producing a modern madonna style filtered chord.
have a try of em. the CS6X is the better, obviously. but the CS1X and 2 X are equally good.
