Alright,

is see products such as the PV®23XO 2-Way Stereo/3-Way Mono Crossover . With features such as:
- 24 dB/octave filters
- Variable-state filter controls

But a my prametric EQ, on my yamaha 02R96V2 can select the desired frequency hence do the same job. i think.

So what is the use of a crossover outboard gear?

A crossover is used to send respective groups of frequencies (2 way - low & High; 3 way low, mids, & highs, 4 way - sub, low mid, high mid, & highs) to drive individual components in a PA system.

The crossover allows you to "tune" the specific point at which the signal (i.e., music in this case) gets sent (crossed over) to individual power amps that then drive individual speaker cabinets.
