could somebody explain what the following "things" do and mean?

Well, I think I may have a ok analogy of reverb - ok pretend your in a large room, and you yell, and its kinda like an echo, but it doesn't echo in the sense of "hello - hello hello hello" it just kind of...resonates it lets it sit in the air...idk...There are lots of great people on here with a better explaination but I thought I'd try an help. Just try to think of the sound bein there after you play - the sound is carrying on through space the higher the reverb the longer it travels.
