Since people were posting tips on another thread I thought I start one for cooking tips. Great way to extend ground meat is by adding textured vegetable protein, TVP. Ground beef, just rehydrate with beef stock or bullion, ground poultry the same. If you're vegetarian just use TVP and vege stock. I like the bland of real ground meat and TVP better though. For single guys it's a great way to extend the meat. So to speak.
 
what I miss in the States is vege gravy...you could buy it in normal supermarkets in the UK, really helps add flavour to the fake meat stuff, sometimes just stock isnt enough..

Though instead of TVP I prefer quorn mince...no grizzle ;)
