Connect BFD2 mixer to Reaper

Hi all -

I'm going to write the drum track for my whole song in BFD2 and would like to output the final groove to Reaper thru the BFD2 mixer. I know I can rdag and drop it -supposedly - into a midi track in Reaper but when I have tried this I end up with a track in Reaper that just appears to be midi triggers. When played back there is nothing there. It looks - to me - like Reaper wants to send midi triggers back to BFD2 for sounds. What am I missing?

Not familiar with BFD, but does it work as a VSTi? If so, you select it in the MIDI track as an F/X. Otherwise, I assume you would have to render the BFD final mix/groove as an audio file and drop that into a Reaper track.

Are you looking for like multi track functionality, like having snare, bd, OH etc on their own tracks?

I have no idea how it's done in reaper, but it most definitely can be done in any version of BFD.
