I set up a little home studio to experiment with recording myself, and I bought a MD8. The reason being I use Minidisk when giging. Nothing too heavy, a few clubs. I have a Rodes NT2 and a Quadraverb and if I might say so myself I was greatly surprised with the results so far. A couple of heads (So called) told me I need a compressor so I got one a Drawmer 241. I dont have a clue about the Expander/Gate nor setting up the thing in general. Anyone can give me a few pointers to get me started for as yet I dont understand the jargon in the manual.
