complete pa systems

I went through this not long ago, upgrading from beginner practice PA..or pretend PA.

Then got into this need for live gigs, got a rack carrying case...then a small mixer, into a power amp 1200w bridged, and two Peavey PR12 speakers on stands. This setup has proven to be enough for a lot of house gigs, including outdoor stages. The rack case is great for carrying mics and cables etc. too.

One reason this small system works is it is only vocals.
The band is 3 piece guitar, bass, drums so all the instruments are live and plenty loud for most their gigs.

What I see is the larger "paying gigs" have house PA's, which are waaaay better than the one we bought.
With monitors and huge sub cabs pretty massive..etc...

So you might want to review where your band will be playing and take some heat off buying a pa if the house has one already.
