Other than the burners that are on the http://www.akaipro.com website, does anyone know of any other burns that might work? Cause I am having a hard time finding good deals on the ones akai recommends.
Whats the deal about the Yamaha Rewriter *cant used "player function"?
I'm using a Yamaha CDRW6416SX burner on my DPS16 and it works just fine. I picked it up back in Sep. 2000 for around $200. I'm sure you can find it cheaper now. Just about any external scsi 2 burner will work though.
I use an older ricoh burner. As far as I know almost all of the ricoh and plextor burners are compatable. If you have a question about a specific burner, you might get an answer from someone one this group.
