My brother sent me this file; he recorded it on an 8-track unit with a computer mic. I dumped it into acid and soundforge and played with it. Since the actual source recording is relatively lo-fi, I'm not really looking for tips on improving quality; however, your thoughts on the mix/mastering/feel/flow/songwriting/guitar work/vocal work will be greatly appreciated.

For a computer mic that's not bad actually Ok, get ready:
Main vocals are ont 100% centered, center them.
Panned guitars work well, but at times the right one gets a little more prominent and the mix starts to lean to the right.
Drums are alright, couldn't give you any really helpfull tips there. Snare sounds overly compressed, but that might be what you were going for. Very "80s".
Lots of FX on the guitars. Maybe a tad too much, but didn't really bother me that much.

Vocals....well....no Sinatra, but it works ok for this kind of music No "wow" factor there however.
