click track depends on the style and the track.
sometimes , click is essential for me. if im doing a big production job on something, and i need to do a fair bit of editing, click track is really important so that the editing willcut properly.
also, midi clock syncs half of my rack up with tempo info.
there are ways of getting around giving click to a drummer. you can get the guitarist to play along to the click first, and then give the drummer that guitar track in his headphones.... plenty of options to get around it
