Choosing between two specific pres for stereo

Hey all - it's been a while. Just took my studio gear out of mothballs, a year after I moved houses. I'm putting together a very limited setup for the time being - a stereo instrument setup (mostly for acoustic guitar) and a vocal setup.

I have a vocal setup that I'm happy with - VTB-1 + V67G. For the instrument setup, I bought a package deal from a local guy that included two Presonus TubePre's and an M-Audio DMP2 (2, not 3).

In the interest of minimizing my experimentation time, I thought I would ask for opinions on these pres before sitting down to do testing. Mics will be MXL 603S's (matched pair).

Any opinions on whether the DMP2 or the pair of TubePres will work better for an acoustic instrument application?

I think you will like the DMP2 better than the TubePres (I've got two DMP2s and one TubePre, for some reason). The Tube Pre can be nice for bass DI.
