This is a big question I know but if anyone feels like adding to what I'm planning I'd be partially eternally gratefull.
* check that each input can be monitored by the buss (LINE-INS failed 5 of 8)
* check other monitoring paths (not done yet but aux,2tra & b seems ok)
* record each channel (mic and line) to all 8 busses - see if they all record, monitor off the tape monitors ok and playback ok.
* check channel sends/returns and buss sends/returns (all ok)
* check direct outs for direct outness
* check all auxes going out and comming back
* check 2trA and B
* less important but check the DI & phono ins
3,4, 5 and 6 seems most important to me. I can use the mixer if the busses work and the direct outs work and the auxes work. Maybe I will be lucky and find the only thing wrong is the line-in buss monitoring.
(yeah right!). Heck if it were just that I could use the extra access jack from the send/returns to my small line mixer (like an M1) and bring them back in by the PGM IN jacks (I think?).
