For all the mbox haters....I think you can get pretty good results...this is all mbox, and synths.....and a Rode NT1-A mic. Did this as a favor to a friend in his home. I composed it then we laid down the vocals over the space of 2 days.
I have some bass traps and treatments at my home that is removeable..I took it over to his place to treat the control room. We recorded in the control room.
This vocal performance coulda been better, but not bad. I did this entire mix in Pro Tools in home the day after we composed and recorded. No fancy A/D stuff either..just my ears and whatever he had there.
He's now thinking of taking this into a bigger studio to record now that we used this track to TEST the possibilities of the track.
Have fun ripping it a new asshole!
