Cheap DI Line Setup

I am collecting some gear to record my drumkit. Ideally a kick mic, snare/hat mic, x2 of 1 mic for each tom, one overhead condensor. I want a DI Line then I will use a mixer on my DAW for the pre-mix.

(I am using Sterling GB £ for price)

Got some bargain dyn behringer mics x3, cased and without leads for under £30. On
their way.

Looked in Maplin (UK version of radioshack); found a 4 channel mixer, with 1/4 Jack inputs, 1/4 Jack output. Got volume level controls, so there is a preamp built in, obviously. £25.

XLR-2-Jack leads for under £3

Found a Behringer 1/4 Jack to USB lead, with control panel software and drivers?

If I need a line input I can group at least two inputs to share a line.

2-Jack into 1. £3

I am overdubbing orientated, so the DAW can use one ASIO driver at a time. The Input can be controlled by my DAW mixer and audio processing effects added to the channels.

Do you think this will work???
