Cedar Tools Retouch, Free Alternative?

I've used Cedar Tools Retouch recently. It's awesome. You can eliminate coughs, car noises, page turns, mobile phone rings - brilliant.

Basically it works by interpolation, but very cleverly implemented.

Only problem is I can't afford it. Can anyone think of an alternative programme/plugin that's free? (Big ask I know!)

{side question} anyone know where you can get examples of CEDAR? I can't seem to find any samples of what it's able to do. I figured they'd at least offer that on their website

but back to your questions, no I don't know of anything free that will offer you spectral editing. Although Izotope offers RX as a cheaper alternative. Download the trial and play with it...I like it.

I have access to it (don't own it). I'll try to make some examples when I have a chance. It really is wonderful though sometimes takes a bit of fiddling to get it to do what you want.
