Here's the deal...I've got a 52x24x52 CD-RW drive...
It's a pretty quick drive and I like it. However, it doesn't seem to cruise at its potential much. I'll put in a CD and when i click on my computer it will start to whirrr pretty fast, but then slow down.
I just copied a 300meg folder from a CDR and it took like 8 minutes because the thing was spinning much slower than it can. Is there anyway you can give your drive a kick in the ass to make it start moving?
