I just got the new Carvin catalog and they have a new line of dynamic drum mics. Normally I wouldn't even consider it, but these mics are VERY inexpensive. I think the kick mic is like $50. Has anyone tried them, or are they too new?
I imagine they are some chinese copies of AKG or Shure, but they probably aren't as bad as those Radio Shack tom mic thingamabobs. At these prices it is almost worth gambling on them. If anyone beats me to it, report back and let me know what you think (Harvey...hint...hint).
