Hello all. I am still very new to the whole world of computer recording. I wanted to know were i could improve in terms of my equipment( improving my mixing skills is a whole other thread)

Setup
2.8 Pentium/1gig ram
audio technica 2020 mic
behringer MIC100 pre-amp
Adobe Audition 1.5
T-racks
Toneport Ux1

Currently recording in a small room

Is there anything i could improve? I know i still need a good set of monitors. Well any replies would be much appreciated. Thnx for everything yall do on this site

Sounds like from the file you posted you got a pretty good handle on using what you got

for what youre doing I would certainly have a copy of Acid, at least the xpress free one

Thnx for the input. i will check that out. I just wanted to know how the tonport sound quality compares to other USB hardware. Thnx!

we will never know sound quality from an mp3 rendered that far down. You could stick a higher quality one at yousendit.com for a bit if you wanted to be able to rally tell

ahhh understood. I willl post a wav file then
