Can't install update to 7.3.1

I recently installed M-powered 7.3. All works ok.

I today tried to update it to 7.3.1 (so I can eventually update it to 7.4), and get the helpful message:

"This installer cannot locate a valid installation of Pro Tools on this system. Please install Pro Tools M-Powered and rerun this installer..."

I mean, WTF? The iLok is in, PT works fine (yes PT is closed when trying to install).

I am running a dual-boot Win XP service pack 3. The file I downloaded from the Digi site is ptmp731ud_33326.zip

Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Are you experiencing any of the problems which this update has addressed?

If so then try re-downloading the update and running it again.

If you're not experiencing any of the issues, then just remain at 7.3. It doesn't add any features and not having it will not restrict you from updating to 7.4 or 8.

No, not experiencing any problems at the moment, although when I read "All Pro Tools 7.3 Users — This Update is Required to Avoid Potential Data Loss" on the Digi site, that kind of scares me!

Ok, I'll forget 7.3.1. Not I'll just have to see how many hoops I have to jump through to get 7.4...
