it will be easier to edit some mistakes
if i can align grids to follow them
if i can then how?
thnx

Most better sequencers have a feature called a tempo map that does this.

But if they're mistakes, then why would you want the tempo to match the mistakes if you're going to correct them? Sounds very ass-backwards to me. Maybe you can explain what you're trying to do and someone here can offer suggestions.

thnx
all i want is OK let's say
i lay down a groovy track as midi
but open up pianoroll i will find that it's very hard to figure things out
cos the grids and my playing aren't following each other
so if there are ways to QUANTISE the tempo to my groove and have the grids place exactly on them( maybe just the furst beat )
will help a lot
the benefit right now i can think of is editing some mistakes
so i don't have to rehearse much and redo a lot
just my wondering

Usually people record with a click track so you are on tempo to begin with. Then you are at least close if you mess up. Trying to sync to your playing is pretty hard.

Right now you are asking how to change the tempo without shifting the notes and that is pretty hard and may cause some problems with the sequencer rounding off the resolution to the new tempo.

Just set the tempo first and play to a beat.
