Can I record my V-amp2 via spdif?

. My soundcard is Sblive Platinium and I have never used spdif or optical inputs, only line in. I'm pretty beginner with these inputs and outputs. What kind of wire is used in spdif? Nothing has fit there so far...riotshield

I think the V-Amp 2 lacks any S/PDIF output. You might be thinking of the J-Station.

If it's optical, it uses a TOSLINK lightpipe optical cable.
If it's coax, it uses a 75 ohm video type coaxial cable terminated in RCA type connectors.
If you havethe same type inputs and outputs on the device you want to record and the device you want to record to, alls you need is the correct cable and you're off to the races. If you have only one type on one device and the opposit type on the other, you'll need a converter.
