Caddy Corner?

would setting up a desk at an off-angle to your squarish/rectangularish room help break up/split up frequencies coming out of your monitors? I saw a desk today that is built for being put in a corner and thought maybe this would be a cool idea, it would give you sort of a conical shape at first, which from what I heard is optimal for soundtravel. any opinions? :)

understood, thanks for clearing that up. now if you are in a square room, I suppose it doesnt matter which wall you put your system on, because everything is equilateral, but if you've got a rectangular room, is it best to have your system on the most narrow, or most wide wall?

also, if there is a large window, do you want that behind you as you sit at the desk or do you want to be facing it?
