Cad KBM412...or the audix F12...which one do you guys like more for use on both kick drums and bass cabinets...i can only afford one of these as my money is really right...

I own a Cad KBM 412 and it is my second one (the first one was destroyed in a studio mishap). My first one was a very good mic (the replacement not so much). It is not a strong signal. Almost as if it has a 20db pad built into it without a switch to change it.
I find use for it as a throat mic for a djembe or a big dhola (large bass doumbek) using a crisper mic on the skin side. In that application it works well and ads a roundness to the mix, and it being a weaker signal mic is almost a benefit.
I don't know the Audix F12 by my advice for the Cad is to stay away from it for what you are needing it for.
