BX5a....updated version of the BX5's?

So apparently M-audio is no longer making BX5 monitors, and is instead making BX5a's. Check it out:

Maybe these will address some of the bass issues that people complain about with the BX5's? I realize it only has a 5" woofer, so it can only go so low, but maybe they're more balanced than the 'old' versions?

Anyone get a chance to check these out yet?
 
i did read this week an review of the jnew ESI near05 EXPERIENCE ( which seems to be identical with the new bx5´s ) at german KEYS magazine.

They find the new ESI´s with kevlar woofer really good. Especially in the midrange better than the old bx5.
 
I don't see any mention of the helpful selection of room adaptability switches present on the old BX5. I hope they're still there--the ability to tweak the old BX5 for an imperfect home studio environment was a big selling point for me.
