Hello!
I have only 1 day till the end of ebay auction for a mint FOSTEX 820 mixer.
I would use it as a recording mixer / patchbay. I'd basicaly use 8 group outs into my EMU 1820m soundcard and connect my preamps, synths and sampler to its line inputs. I'd also use its preamps for less important duties.
I wouldn't use it for mixing as it probably wouldn't add nothing special to the sound.
My questions are:
How would it compare to Mackie Onyx series in terms of sound quality.
How does its EQ sound?
Would -10db unbalanced outputs matter?
Is it worth $350?
