BR-8 Digital 8-Track Studio

I've been doing analog recording for some time, and now want to shift to digital, but I'm totally new to it.

My recording friends recommended the BOSS BR-8 Digital 8-Track Studio as an entry-level try-out. Wonder if any one of you has used it before. How do you feel about it?

You may want to post your question in the "Other Equipment and Reviews" forum....the guys here will tell u stand alone units suck and computer based DAW's with N-Track software rule.....
