bouncing ReWire/VSTi's to audio

Hi -

I'm having trouble bouncing a track from my VSTi drum synth (Microtonic) to audio.

You have to automate changes in an internal sequencer and record onto a track.

It doesn't seem to record any audio when I hit record and the VSTi is playing its' beats.

It works nicely in FL Studio, which I'm trying to get into using as a ReWire.

Same thing there - the synth rack gives it an audio and a midi channel. Since the audio channel I arm for recording doesn't convert the midi to audio (it's audible though!), I go to edit-bounce to new track, and it does nothing.

BTW - other synths like Absynth record all midi input to audio in Sonar perfectly...

Any ideas? Thanks!

Don't record. Select the MIDI-track and the audio-track, and go to Edit -> Bounce to Track. :)

Thanks Moskus!!
I appreciate your help. I think I'm doing it correctly, but it's not creating a new track...

I must be doing something wrong. I have FL Studio as a ReWire device, and it's playing nicely within Sonar. Sonar created the audio track and midi track, as if it were a DXi synth...but when I bounce down to file, it does something, but no audio file is created...

Any more input? Thanks!

It should work.. ??? I don't know...

Doesen't Paul881 use FLStudio with Sonar?
