Black Moth Super Rainbow

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone had any insight into Black Moth Super Rainbow/Tobacco's recording techniques. The only info I can find about it is very vague...that they use "analog synths" and such and track/mix to "analog equipment." Not really the most specific terms...
 
yeah man their sound is so good, its kinda muddy but genius and tobaccos solo stuff too, definatly wish i knew more about how its done, would be good if anyone knew a thing or two about it
 
"Analog equipment?" So the annoying "record fuzz" effect they have on pretty much every song might actually be from their recording process and not added later?
 
Yea..I've heard they record everything analog, except for this last album "Eating Us" which was recorded using both analog and digital...
