There is a significant delay in the audio between play back and recorded tracks.
I am recording guitar.
In track 1 is the backing music.
I record into track 2 while track 1 plays.
When playing back the 2 tracks, the recorded guitar audio is significantly ahead in timing and the time difference increases as the track plays.
This occurs with two different multitrack recording softwares (Adobe Audition, Power Tracks Pro).
My rig is Soundblaster Live24, P4, 1.8GB, 768MB, XPSP2
I did this all the time with my old SB Live Value 16 and did not have this problem.
I Probably should get a better card but I tried the M-audio 2496 and could not get it to work on my PC so thats why I got the SB 24bit.
Is there a way to fix this with the SB card? Or what PCI card audio card would you recommend besides the M-Audio.
How are the E-mu cards for latency?
