i need some insight on which bass mic to get. is one better for just bass drums or is one better for just bass guitars. or is one simply all around better than the other? thanks so much
My guess is its really a matter of preference. I've heard people praising both mics, and saying they prefer them over the other. Generally, the d112 is probably the more used, but I think either will be a fine choice.
i have a d112 and i use it on kick drum and bass gtr with pleasing results. try doing a search on both of the mics. you will find a ton of info. i think this very thing was asked before along with a poll.
