Best Pre Amp for Vocals

I am looking for a good pre amp. I have always been intrigued by the reputation of the Avalon.

I am using a AKG Buls microphone right now.

Any suggestions on a good pre amp to complimnet this microphone?

There are a zillion posts about pre amps on this site. Look around.

Or, get a subscription to Tape Op--they review many mic pres, including Avalon and the sub is FREE.

I have an ART and a Grace Design 101 and use both of them. The Grace, of course, is the better of the two.

I would have prefered to search the site, but I cant seem to figure out how to use a search on the forums. Is Tape OP a magazine or a online thing?

TAPE OP is a magazine. You can find them on the net. It is totally FREE at this time.

If you want to search on the net, type in the name of the mic pre and, Voila, many sites and sales-vendors will pop up.

A good mic pre will be an asset.
