What's your favorite mic over $4000 retail or a street value of 4 grand or more.

Just thought I'd throw that out there since the best mic mic under $100 is really, reall, really , really boring

i don't have any cheap mics... but i guess the Sp B1 comes to mind.

most intresting mic imo:
Korby Audio mics.. 1 mic, 4 different heads. a 251,c12,u47 and u67 for just about $7000

40 STudio Prjects B1 mics. Great for a 40 piece drumkit or 40 backup singers.

Hmm, I just noticed that I only paid more than $4000 for 2 mics, even though I have a few others with list prices above 5 or 6K.






Oh, you wanna know what they are?
Brauner VM1 Klaus Heyne Edition and Gefell UM75. They are definitely my favorites, though the M149s & M150s, E47, E49, Valvet BEs and a few other sub-$4K mics do see a lot of use, somehow they're just not as "sexy".
