Hi dudes, just wondering if anyone out there specialises in dance music and if so what kind of set up do you use. At the moment I have a presonus FP10 and really just wondering if there is anything significantly better (in terms of sound quality and build) under a price tag of under $3000 dollars. I have a p.c. so apogee is out, however I've heard good stuff on rosetta, lynx, prism, r m e and motu. Obviously good quality line ins are more important here rather than pre's, it's just I find the recordings from the fp10 a little lack lustre, particularly in the higher frequencies. Also, now I know what kind of music I am going to specialise in I dont particularly need 8 in R.M.E. fireface 400 could be a goer if it fits other peoples bills. Despite being an extremely good unit for the money I believe there is better out there than the presonus fp10 even if it is for electronic music primarily, I want the sound to be second to none without spending enough money to buy a house, so if there is no real difference and it is just my mixing that is the issue here(will accept that) I would stick with the presonus if advised. Please let me know your thoughts kind people?
