best bass modeling software

I hate my bass and, while saving for one I like, I thought some modeling software could help (I currently go DI). My recordings don't usually feature bass, so it doesn't need to sound awesome. Just curious what low-cost solutions there were for bass modeling. I record in Reaper, in case that matters.

I threw a GR4 preset on a good-sounding DI bass track yesterday, made it sound awesome. Very minimal tweaking from that point on.

you can try guitar rig4 via the demo version which has everything functionally..

i bought a korg toneworks bass modelling pedal for about $40....its pretty good imo
