Behringer Mixers

Anybody out here use Behringer mixers with any success? I've primarily used Mackies and love them, but I'm in a big time financial crunch right now, and need more channels (I have the MS1202 OV). I know you get what you paid for, but I am open to opinion. I'd get a Tascam DM1000(? think that's the #), but I would then need to pay 100s more for a analog-to-TDIF convertor. $400 is my budget, at least 14 channels.

Although the berhinger does not meet with the overall approval of most hr members, I have had occasion to use the 8-channel mixer and, let me tell ya, it does the job quit nicely. Still use it too, for a monitor mixer. When budget concerns are a priority - this gear is hard to beat.
