Behringer ADA8000 and Delta 24/96

How can I make this work?

I know the Delta is SPDIF and the ADA8000 is Lightpipe. I have an adapter that will convert the toslink down to the SPDIF connection on my sound card. I've used this method to hook my digital recorder up to my sound card and it works great. However, when hooking the ADA8000 up in this manner, the sound card will not recognize it. I'm slaving the ADA at 44.1 and the sound card is set to the same.

Any ideas?

You are going to need a Card or interface that has a Lightpipe input.....

SPDIF is a 2 Channel audio signal were Lightpipe is 8Ch+ and a Simple addapter will not solve this.....

Cheers

That's what I was beginning to think. Thanks for the help!

p.s. know of any cards that will do this and not break my pocket book?

Or forget the Delta and the cheap Behringer unit and move up to the Motu8Pre for $550.

The 8Pre has a LOT more capability and much better preamps for very little more cash...
