Rember that there is no BEST module or synth and no worst! Every unit can do somthing well but it depends on your creative style if it will be somthing you will need. I, myself have a nice colection of synths an modules and belive me, there was a H*** of a lot of research involved. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! that is the best advice that I can offer bucause there are many units that are really geared for one area of music, example:
one of my favoret synths--Access Vrius
(this is an ear-blearing, gut-renching techno-industrial synth powerhouse) and that is what I use it for but I sure wouldn't try to use it for Jazz!
So, do all the reading you can (download the manual and READ IT) and talk to everyone you can!
