After 14 months away (Iraq, long story), I opened up my '89 Mapleglow Rickenbacker 620/12 and discovered that the tailpiece had snapped. I called Rickenbacker and fell off my chair when they quoted me the price for a replacement tailpiece. $100.
I gulped and said fine, I'll take one in black. No can do, Rick no longer has any. They refered me to Pick of the Ricks in NJ.

Called them and yes they do have BLACK 12 string tailpieces. $150. Yes $150! They powerder coat black the Rick chrome tailpieces.
Also I had to send them the old broken tail piece.
Be very carefull with your black hardware Rick!
