Azalia 8 channel soundcard

I have just bought a computer which has an inbuilt "azalia 8 channel' soundcard as part of the motherboard. I found this reference about codecs for it, but am none the wiser http://www.majorgeeks.com/Cmedia_Azalia_Audio_Codec_9880_d4745.html

In my old computer which died I had an Echo Mia soundcard and using a mackie dfx mixer, Reason and Cubase cut a few CDs for personal use etc, nothing too major or serious at this stage.

Is it worth installing my mia sound card into new computer? It obvoiusly won't do any harm to stick it in.Will anyone elses ears ever know the difference?!! Considering the limitations of a 44 CD, does it matter? My new soundcard will apparently take a coaxial input..but my "old tech" mixer has no coaxial out!!

No crisis, but struggling to keep abreast of new technology. Any comments appreciated.

Cheers

It looks like a typical onboard audio device. Your mia would be better suited for recording, as that's what it was designed for, as opposed to playing games or CDs
