I'm "mastering" a demo project for some newgrass picker friends of mine. It's guitar, mandolin, and two vocals.
I've got all the tracks pretty well set for consistency, but now I'm trying to get the loudness set up right. I've tended to "master" rock tracks up to around -10 to -11 dB average level, and so far, -14 dB has felt about right.
Does -14 dB sound about right for this kind of music?
