Aux Send/Return help needed

Im new to mixing desks and looking at buying the Tapco 100 for a mini home project studio and was hoping to use my collection of vintage guitar pedals as aux sends. I can do this on my friends mixer (patching from aux send through the pedal back into aux return) but i noticed the Tapco 100 only has 1 aux send and no aux return?!?! What does this mean??

You can see the Tapco 100 here...

The four line inputs you mean? Do i just route out of aux send, through the effects pedal chain and back into anyone of the four line inputs? Line inputs are where the instruments are going into though right?!

On my friends mixer he has a dedicated aux return input, then the effects are availble across all channels.

Can anyone explain it a bit more depth??

thanks, ydr

Yes, you use the line inputs. It's pretty rare that anyone (anyone I know anyway) ever uses the returns on a console for effect returns. Only if all the line inputs are being used.

The pic is too small to tell for sure, but likely they expect you to use the extra stereo inputs as aux returns. That's all an aux return is anyway, just an extra stereo (usually) input into your console. :)
