Audio Won't record in Cubase 7.5

I can't seem to get my microphone to record any audio at all. I use a USB microphone (Snowball Blue) and it worked fine on my previous Cubase 4 version. Can anyone help out or suggest any possible solutions?

I can attach screenshots if someone could let me know which ones to post. Thanks in advance

Have you got Cubase set up to recognise the usb mic as the channel input?
this is how my older version works
devices/ vst connections/ input bus/ output bus?

I don't know where to start looking really. I've looked at the inputs and outputs and it seems okay to me?

I've attached 3 screenshots (warning message I get at the start, and 2 of inside my VST connections page). Does this help anyone?
