These are on sale at a store locally, incl. the 4.5m XLR-XLR cable.

Sounds too good to be true (~$30USD).

Are these mics any good for general recording (guitar, vocals, some drums), and do they last? I can't seem to find any reviews or opinions on these anywhere.

the guitar player in my band had one until we lost it at a gig one night. i used it for micing the harmonica player's amp (blonde blues jr). it's ok. it's a $30 mic and not much more--you get what you pay for. no where near as true or nice as an sm57/58 and that right there says it all, IMO. ok for live use, pretty shitty in the studio.

we were going to replace it, but we bought a case of HighLife instead, and i'm fairly confident that was the right decision.
