Audio Technica AT4040

hmm.. I need new overhead-mics. What do say about AT4040? My budjet is 0-400 euros/mic. Any better overhead-mic in that
price? What would you recommend...?

I have a pair of 4033's that I like as overheads. I've not tried the 4040's yet. I do have a 4047 I've used in front of a kit and thought it was OK.
 
Yeah I have one. I've found that the AT4040 is a quite a nice microphone. It has a different sound to it than the AT4047SV but it also has a 1" diaphragm--bigger than the 4033's. I would check these AT4040s out they're a great microphone for the dough! I use it for a spot mic or vocals. But it shines on acoustic & guitar cabs too.:)
