So I initially planned to purchase the AT2035 but to save some money I bought the AT2020.

The mic sounds great its my first mic and I love it.

I'm thinking however how much of a difference the extra $50 for the AT2035 would have been.

Anyone have any input?

You would of had more controll over your recordings the 2035 has a 80 high pass and a 10 db pad!

Not to say that you don't have a good mic ,but instead of roll off or pad at the source, you'll have to do it some where else in your recoding path if you need to do such things.

I am using this mic for vocals only.

So far its done great!

Im new to recording so I thought it was a good pick im going to school for music recording and will probably keep this and use it till im done and save up for a nice professional studio quality mic.

Cool...Just remember it's not the mic but what and where you put in front of it!!!
